How Zita 50mg Tablet works

Zita 50mg Tablet contains - Sitagliptin

Sitagliptin works by inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme that destroys GLP and GIP hormones, allowing both to function more effectively. Both glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) are released by the intestine and affect blood glucose levels.

Dosage of Zita 50mg Tablet

The dosage of Zita 50mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Zita 50mg Tablet

Interaction

Drug :- ACE inhibitors, disopyramide, fibric acid derivatives, fluoxetine, sulfonylureas: Possibly increased hypoglycemic effects.

beta blockers: Possibly prolonged hypoglycemia or promotion of hyperglycemia.

digoxin: Slightly increased plasma digoxin level.

estrogens, oral contraceptives, phenytoin, progestines, thiazide diuretics, triamterene: Possibly decreased hypoglycemic effects.
