Uses of Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup

Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):

Diarrhea Caused by Cryptosporidium Parvum or Giardia Lamblia

Side effects of Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup

The most common side effects of Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup are – Headache, Nausea, Dizziness, Vomiting, Abdominal Pain, Fever, Hair Loss, Vertigo

These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.

Precautions while using Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup

Do not use Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup if you are allergic to – Nitazoxanide, Ofloxacin

If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup.

If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.

How Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup works

Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup contains – Nitazoxanide, Ofloxacin

Nitazoxanide works by stopping the growth of certain protozoa that cause diarrhea.

Ofloxacin inhibits synthesis of the bacterial enzyme DNA gyrase by counteracting excessive supercoiling of DNA during replication or transcription. Inhibition of DNA gyrase
causes rapid- and slow-growing bacterial cells to die.

Dosage of Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup

The dosage of Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Overdose of Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup

If you forget to take a dose of Zoxakind O 100 mg/50 mg Syrup, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.
